Welcome to my nature photography website! Having lived in New England my whole life, outside in nature is where I can usually be found. Autumn colors, spring pastels, new budding trees, and flowing water. I love photographing water, whether it's rushing down a mountainside, meandering its way through the woods, splashing upon the beach or calmly resting while reflecting everything around it.
If you like what you see and want to see more photographs as they are added, please fill out the form on the contact page and I will keep you informed of what is new on my site.
The photographs in the above slide show are favorites of my customers (and mine too!) and some are award winners! You can learn more about each image above and click the call to action button to see what sizes are available to purchase. If you have any questions, please ask!
Thank you for stopping by!

Years ago I planted bleeding hearts in my front yard. Don't think they lasted the season before they disappeared. A year or so later, as I was sitting in my dining room looking out at our woodsy backyard, I spotted something pink. There wasn't anything pink in the woods before, but there it was beckoning me to come and take a look. So I did. To my surprise, there they were, bleeding hearts growing in the backyard amongst the trees. My best guess is that they didn't like the front yard and relocated to the backyard where they have been coming back every year since!
This image started as a photograph of four daisies growing in my garden. With a little twist here and a little spin there, and maybe a couple other moves, resulted in this image! This is a square print.
This beautiful yellow flower is an African Daisy. I planted three of these in different colors in my garden and photographed them as they bloomed. This flower was shot using my macro lens while I was sitting on the ground. Which worked out great with the beautiful colors in the background from the other flowers.
Every spring I buy flowers to put in my garden. It is nice to have a colorful garden, but it's better to be able to photograph colorful flowers! One of the photos I took of this flower was an up-close shot of half of the flower. I took that photo and blended it with its reflection on water. I liked it and I kept working the image, and I don’t know how, but this is the image I ended up creating. It has a hi-key look to it with the tops of the petals blending into the background.
When I took this photograph I was out on a field trip with my camera club. Never before had I seen this flower and the color blue in the petals I just fell in love with! In one of my post-processing programs I tweaked the colors a bit and came up with what looks like flowers glowing.
Here's another bleeding heart photo from the backyard. The processing of this image is different, a look a bit of grunge, but not too much!
This image was inspired after returning from a three-day weekend on the cape with other women photographers. There are three separate images overlaying each other, one representing each day on the cape. It was cold and windy but the surf was great. Took lots of photos of breaking and crashing waves one day. Sea grass is the subject for the second day, and on the third day we stayed in and did setups (still life) to photograph. That beautiful shell was one of the setups and represents the third day.
While walking along the Concord River taking photographs, I came across this leaf floating in and out of the sun/shade. The photo I wanted to catch was the leaf in both the sun and shade. I thought that would be a really cool shot. And it was, but the murkiness of the leaves on the bottom of the river weren't exciting me too much. So, with a little post processing this is what I came up with. I now think it is a really cool shot!
This flower I photographed while browsing around a pretty awesome garden shop one day. I saw this flower that looked like a bird, with the one petal(?) curved around and the buds all gathered on the side like feathers. The two pictured here, the one in the upper left corner is the original and the other one is a negative of the original. These both hang at a friend's home. Two different versions are in the shop.
This photograph is one of my reflecting photographs of the sun shining on the trees as it sets. Check out the same photograph rotated 180 degrees and see which way you like it.
During our pandemic, I took the opportunity to spend lots of time in my yard photographing every little thing starting to grow, and in the spring anything that grows in my garden is little! Because everything was so little, I added a new macro lens to my bag of tools, so that I could take better photos of all those tiny flowers and ground cover.
Have you ever looked up real close to the flowers on chives? Well I did and then I had many photo sessions with them. Take a look!
I believe that I wrote somewhere on this website that I will take a photograph of just about anything that catches my eye! Reflections do and I like to get the shot so that the person looking at it isn’t quite sure which way is up. And then there is post processing of my images. Just playing around with my photo software, trying to learn it, produced some pretty unusual photographs, which makes you (or me) wonder, is it still a photograph? So here are some for your visual pleasure, although if you try to flip your phone or tablet, the image will flip too!
